What is the difference in use between the Obagi Clear and Obagi Blender, since both of them have 4% hydroquinone, the skin bleaching agent?
Obagi Clear is designed to be used both morning and night and helps more with surface damage and pigmentation on the upper layers of the skin. Obagi Blender is to be used only in the evening mixed with your tretinoin/retin-A. Obagi Blender also contains saponins that act as a delivery agent to pull the product down to the lower dermis to fight pigmentation at that level.

each gram of obagi nu-derm clear contains hydroquinone usp 40 mg/gm in a base of purified water, cetyl alcohol, glycerin, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearyl alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, ascorbic acid, sodium metabisulfite, lactic acid, saponins, disodium edta, methylparaben, bht, propylparaben, and butylparaben.
