You Cannot Go Wrong With Elta MD

My husband and I both use Elta MD 50 Sunscreen. All different types. I like the Green because it takes the red out, tinted to just give a hint of color and Clear because it has no white cast. There is never a fragrance and it reapplies well on the golf course. It never stings the eyes. Perfect for children’s faces.

I use tretinoin, so my skin is extra dry, and I also have dry, sensitive eyes. I had the hardest time finding a sunscreen that was hydrating enough to feel comfortable on my dry, mature skin, offered a higher SPF, and didn’t make my eyes sting. I’m so happy I found this formula. It feels great on my skin—neither greasy nor drying—and there’s zero eye irritation. It also layers nicely with my moisturizer, primer, and foundation. Daily is a great product. I have been using based on a doctor recommendation. This was following my skin cancer surgery. It does not leave any residue of color. I only use the untinted as tinted stains white clothing. My face never looks white, blue or gray. It rubs in gently and quickly, with no sticky feeling. I have sensitive skin and this does not cause any outbreak, itch, redness or any other undesirable mention. I highly recommend the Daily.

substitute for a discontinued product

I have been using Elta MD UV facial broad spectrum spf 35 for at least a few years now and was very pleased with it. No problems. I went to reorder it and found out it had been discontinued. The replacement was Elta MD UV Daily Hydration spf 50. I had an allergic reaction of extremely itchy eyes lasting for approx. 10 days. I was miserable. Comparing the ingredients between the two found the SPF 50 is made with Octisalate 5.0% vs the prior SPF 35 I was using was made with Octinoxate 7.5%. Apparently I am allergic to Octisalate.

My entire family uses Elta MD products, as recommended by our dermatologist. This Elta MD UV Daily Hydration is a great product for daily use for your face. The product absorbs quickly into your skin, providing a great UV barrier to build upon with your regular makeup routine. The product is fragrance free, as are most Elta MD products, so you do not smell like you are headed to the beach. I did not find this product to be greasy or slimy feeling upon my skin and the pump type dispenser allows just the right amount of product. It’s ok

It’s an okay sunscreen, I used to use the 40 SPF one and I loved it and they changed the formula and it gives me terrible pimples now . I don’t understand why you have to put any type of acids for example of one , like lactic acids etc to sunscreen that’s made for sensitive skin, this just further irritates skin, all you need is soothing ingredients. Most of the sunscreens have some type of irritant, like this one has ginger root , that’s a drying ingredients. this sunscreen went on smoothly but l was a bit irritating to my face .
