When I first tried this moisturizer (I’d never heard of Obagi) and when I found it locked in all my serums/retinol, I fell madly in love. I use it nightly and my skin has weathered another Boston winter with dignity. I would recommend this cream to anyone, no matter their skin type (I’m on the dry side but probably “combination”). While the moisturizer locks in my serums, I use a very popular K-beauty brush-on mask to lock in my Obagi ‘s moisturizing magic, and when I wake up my skin is so soft and shiny (in a positive way). I immediately bought two more containers as soon as I was halfway through my first container for fear it’d fly out of stock, but perhaps this moisturizer is a secret? In order not to brush my serums/retinols around my face, I apply a generous amount of moisturizer to my hand, and whip it up in my palm. I then use my pointer finger to dapple it around each area of my face, using my pointer and middle finger to pat the cream in in a spackle-like manner. I then return any unused cream to the jar. Yes, it’s idiosyncratic, but it allows me to layer conservatively. I use a moisturizer from a different brand before sunscreen in the day, and my Obagi at night because it’s just too decadent for daytime use. Love it!
