I was excited to try the memory gel since I love the Curl Restore-moisture treatment. The Curl Flex is not at all what I was expecting and I’m disappointed with the results. It has no “slip” to it. The gel is too alcohol based leaving my hair dried out and frizzy. Once it’s on, my wet hair felt stiff like cardboard. My curls sucked up the gel and it was difficult to style. The gel felt mostly alcohol based. I have tried air drying and defusing my hair, it was still quite frizzy regardless of how it’s styled. I think it’s done more damage than anything. Its left my hair very dried out.

I use this after my hair has air-dried for about 15 minutes. I apply with a light hand and find it holds my curls/waves in place. There is a fine line of how much product I need for results vs too much and getting crunchy hair. I have long hair and only apply it to the bottom half. Overall this is a nice styling product whether you air dry or diffuse.
