Foundation Routine for Acne

Video Summary

Hi guys, welcome back. I'm Kristen, an esthetician here at LovelySkin and on today's tutorial we're going to be talking about the best foundation routine for acne. So let's get started.

The first step that you want to do is find a moisturizer. This is going to be the base for your foundation, so you want to pick a lightweight moisturizer. Today I'm going to be using the Ultra Sheer Moisturizer by SkinMedica. Just want to open it up, get about a pea size like that. Kind of rub it in your hands, and I just like to press it into my skin like that. Okay.

So the next step is to find a primer. This is what's going to help conceal any large pores that we are having. Today I'm going to be using YOUNGBLOOD. It's the Mineral Primer. So what I like to do is just open it up, put a little bit on the back of my hand, take a foundation brush and then apply it just like we would a foundation.

All right, so the next step is to conceal. So it's best to find a concealer that's going to be more of a double punch. One way we are going to be fighting the acne. The next way we are going to be concealing it. So today I'm going to be using the jane iredale. It's called Disappear Concealer. It has a little bit of green tea extract, so it'll help calm your acne as well as conceal. So just open this guy up, put a little bit on the back of your hand, grab a camouflague brush and then cover any acne that we are experiencing.

All right, so then your last step is to get your foundation. The one I'm going to be using today is the Oxygenetix. Once again, we want to go with more of a double treatment. So the Oxygenetix foundation allows your skin to breathe. Grab your foundation brush, and then just apply.

All right, guys. It's as simple as that. So this my favorite way to cover acne-prone skin, and as always you can find all of our products that we used here today in our tutorial at either LovelySkin.com or you can come visit our retail store. And thank you so much for watching and I'll see you next time. Bye, guys.
