I have straight salt and pepper hair, the ends turn somewhat yellow looking from heat styling. I've tried purple shampoos that have mostly synthetic dyes, they stain everything and give my hair an overall purple cast and are drying. Phyto uses mostly natural pigments and although the toning has been more subtle, I can see with repeated weekly use it's working without making the rest of my hair look blue or purple. It really makes my silver strands sparkle. It smells and lathers great and leaves my hair hydrated.

I purchased this shampoo after using a sample. It is gentle and has really helped my itchy scalp. I noticed itchiness (no dandruff or specific skin conditions) with the especially hot, dry weather we've been having. After 2 or 3 shampoos the itchiness has subsided. Happy with this shampoo!

I purchased this for my strawberry blonde hair that has gone near-white, but still has some warmth to it. This shampoo is gentle, and did not dry out my typically dry and somewhat coarse-textured hair. Scent reminds me of my mom's 1006 lotion from waaaaay back in the day. I do think this shampoo lives up to the claim of enhancing blonde hair, especially in terms of shine. It takes longer to rinse the slippery feel from this shampoo, maybe because it's meant to leave a coat of color on the hair. I don't have any patience for that. By day 2, my hair looks limp, and so for me it would have to be a daily product. It's okay, but not for me over the long run.
