I first used this product in 2005/6 after being introduced to this product line by my aesthetician. After trying other glycolic toners, exfoliators, peels--I find myself coming back to this product because it does not contain alcohol. I personally find that alcohol can be drying and irritating to the skin, as well as counteracting the effects of the glycolic acid.
