I have a couple of other sharpeners (one standard size and one large), but they both chew up my pencils and leave them in sharp, splintery, not-so-pointy ends. This one worked great right out of the box! I've only used it once so far, but I have high hopes.

This is by far the best pencil sharpener that I have used for sharpening eye pencils. It gets the tip nice and sharp without eating up half of the pencil and there is no mess as you can empty the shavings out of the box after a few times. Would definitely purchase again.
