It’s okay

Other reviews are right - battery drains very quickly especially if using on multiple breakouts. If you’re only using for 1 every so often then it will probably last a decent amount of time. I like using this vs a spot treatment like BPO because you don’t have to worry about irritation. pimples might go away slightly faster (especially those deep ones) as compared to untreated but nothing drastic.

Complete Waste of Money

This device is supposed to stay on for 3 minutes after holding the button for 2 seconds. It literally did that once. After that, it either stayed on for about 10 seconds or most often has to have the button held to stay on. I had been looking at the light therapy device options and considered purchasing this brand's full face mask. Thank goodness I decided to try this first.

Great product, but problematic battery life!

I love the concept of this, and when it works, it's great! Very lightweight and easy to hold up against your face. It seems to have positive effects in helping acne and delivers on that front. However, I've used this less than a dozen times, and I've had to change the battery five times already! (Not an exaggeration.) I often can't even use it more than once without it turning off within 30 seconds the next time I try to use it. I would think this was just a defect in the one I got, but from seeing reviews on this from others, it sounds like a very common issue. I love the LED mask that Dr. Dennis Gross has, and I've never had this issue with that one, so I usually trust the quality of the brand. Hope they can fix the issues with this for a future model of it!

SO good

I've read very, very mixed reviews about this little device but I decided to take the plunge. The reviews about the battery life are mostly true, it works about 25, 3-minute sessions and then you need to swap the battery. I use on my cystic spots and it forces them to come to a head. It's also reducing red acne scars that I have (they're from recent breakouts, not the kind that are lasting). I've had in-office red light therapy too and I think this is a perfect substitution for spot treatment and I plan to buy the full-face version eventually. This is truly helping a lot.

Works Great

I use the spotlight acne treatment device at the first sign of a breakout forming (pain under the skin). It significantly reduces the healing time when followed with an acne ointment/cream. It does not irritate my skin or cause redness. Highly recommend.
