It leaves my hair super soft and shiny... it almost looked like I had done something to the color because the sheen was so nice. This product is also more reasonably priced than others I have tried. I have great hair, but it has definitely dried as I've aged and highlighted. I always buy high end products so when I say this is superior, I mean that. It does not sud as many protective shampoos don't either, but it leaves your hair amazing and well nourished. Impressive shampoo.
