This mousse is highly scented and I love the fragrance. It works well in my hair texture - thin, straight, highlighted and shoulder-length. I took off a star because alcohol is the second ingredient, so it may be drying. I have not noticed any additional damage, though, over the last year that I have used this, but I don't use it everyday.
