This cleansing bar is a great product that works especially well with PCA Skin Daily Cleansing Oil for a double cleanse. At night, I use the oil adding water for a milky emulsion and rinse. Next, wet the neat sponge that comes with the bar (pack of three) and form a lather. The bar is poured into a nifty jar that makes it virtually mess free. I love this product because it has done two amazing things to my skin - beside clean it thoroughly. One, my pores are a lot smaller - I've never found a cleansing product that did this for me and I'll be 70 in two months! I received this cleansing bar as a free gift with purchase. I normally prefer a foaming facial cleanser, so I'm shocked how much I like this bar! It reminds me so much of the old school Neutrogena glycerin bar of soap, both in the smell and texture. I use to really like that brand, but stopped using it because the bar of soap would melt away so quickly. Having it in a jar prevents this. This soap comes with 3 sponges, and again, shocked at how much I love these sponges. They do a great job of exfoliating (something I really need with Retin A use) without aggravating my skin. I was torn between giving it a 4 and 5 star rating. I think it's pretty expensive for a bar of glycerin soap, but, I've had it 2 months and it doesn't look like I've used it. It is going to last a long time. So, I do love the way it makes my skin feel smooth and soft, and how long it's lasting, but it's a little pricey for what it is. When it's gone, I'll buy a jar of this soap.

This is a great invention and high-quality facial cleanser. I like it because it doesn’t leave a mess in a soap dish, my face feels very soft and clean, you can really foam it up or not whatever you prefer, never drying to my skin type. PCA makes good products from the ones I’ve used. I just put the wet sponge on top of the jar lid when finished. It’s better than seeing a hanging wet washcloth and I feel the sponge helps exfoliate. Received this as a "free gift" when I purchased something else on this website. I have never heard of this brand before, but I was happy with this product. Storing the sponge outside the jar of soap makes sense to me, and it hasn't consumed much of my time. It cleans my face, and I haven't noticed any dryness; I do use moisturizer afterwards. I wasn't into the idea of a bar of soap in a jar at first, but the product was nice. It seems affordable enough, and I would buy it again.

This product is basically a bar of soap in a jar. You have to use the provided sponges to work this product into a lather; otherwise, it will not lather. Believe me, I've tried. The directions specify that you must not store the sponge in the jar, which makes sense for hygiene but that's why this product is inconvenient. How are you supposed to store the sponge to air it out and keep it sanitary? I have a very specific glass contraption from Muji that keeps it aired out and away from dirt. But who has time for this? I'm telling you, this product is inconvenient. I do not recommend putting this product on your face, it's WAY too drying. It's nice as a body wash, but there are way better body washes out there. My favorite use of this product is to wash behind my ears, it's gets them squeaky clean. Grandma would be proud. But, who wants to go through all this trouble just to clean behind the ears? All in all, I do not recommend this product. I would give this product 1 star, but it does leave the body feeling nice and refreshed, but not better than other products on the market.
