I have melasma. It sucks. I had pretty good results doing a medium strength peel (dermatologist, not self administered). I am now very good about sunscreen application but want to lighten my remaining melasma until I can get the peel done again (yearly). I have used this product in the past and it will absolutely lighten dark sun and/or aging products and particularly procedure splotching. You can personalize and add other useful additives as boosters that help as well. It will take about a bottle to really see the difference so be patient but it works without any bleaching ingredients.
