I use about a nickel-sized amount in my hair to help hold the curls and waves after showering. My hair tends to go flat as it dries, but this stuff helps hold the curls and waves longer. The bottle has lasted me about six months and I have thick hair (it's short now, but when I bought it I had really long hair and it worked with my long hair too), so it lasts, at least for me. I tend to wash my hair every two to three days. I don't like using products that look like I have product in my hair, like mousse and hair spray tends to do, and this stuff doesn't do that. It doesn't have the same hold as those products, but it does hold enough to do the job. The scent is all right, not bad but nothing to write home about. It does ease some of the frizz in my hair.
