EXCELLENT PRODUCT Now Discontinued!?
I am 71 years old and have been using Avene RetrinAL 0.1 for approximately 20 yrs with much success, having been recommended to it by my then dermatologist in N. Carolina and it has continued to be a favorite! Thank you LovelySkin for making it possible for me to buy it through my moves to Georgia and then to Washington. So, when I saw RetrinAL Advanced Wrinkle Corrector as a product I could buy on my last refill, I jumped on a purchase immediately and saw noticeably more smoothing around my eyes and mouth/chin area! But, now I am in need of a refill only to be told that the product has been discontinued! I am so disappointed and would love to know the reason why. And, sorry this is so long!

I feel like this product has helped to blur the appearance of the lines on my forehead as well the nasolabial folds. I only wish Avene included better instructions on how to use the product applicator. In theory, the application method is great, but in reality it’s kind of hard to use. It’s meant to be like a syringe and you dab the product directly into the wrinkles you want to target, but I find I have to constantly adjust the bottom and “unlock” it because it keeps locking as I apply. Not much product comes out (which is better than too much I suppose), but the applicator could be better. Overall, I think it is making a difference. There’s no strong smell, it rubs in nicely, and it doesn’t irritate or dry out my sensitive skin at all.

I’ve been using this product for 4 weeks after seeing success from using a free sample. I do see decent “next day” results on the fine lines on my forehead, but have not seen compounding improvement on the reduction of wrinkles (which looking back is not in the product description). So, the jury is still out if this product is doing a good job “plumping” versus actually minimizing wrinkles overall.

I am still on the fence on this one although I love all the retrinal line of Avene. Been using this for almost a year now and with regular use, the deeper wrinkle lines seem to be less prominent...but the results are not consistent with me so I am not sure how to rate it. I did notice that when I forgot to bring this on one travel trip, the wrinkle on my nose was much more prominent!
