Good but drying
It started off fine--smooth, comfortable, a little hard to blend and I had to work at getting all the white cast rubbed in, but after a while I noticed that the skin on my face was becoming very dehydrated. I added other moisturizers, a hydrating cleanser, and a hyaluronic acid serum to my routine to try to fight the dehydration but nothing worked, and by the end I was tight, flaky, and peeling around my mouth and chin. As soon as I stopped using this sunscreen the issue was gone. I don't know what it is about it, but it's unusable for me. Maybe it was some kind of weird allergic reaction. I have sensitive combination skin, so now I'm back on the hunt for something that works for me.

A M A Z I N G. Still my top sunscreen. Blends in flawlessly and actually smells kinda nice. Doesn’t pill with the right products underneath. Expensive option but it gets the job done and and I love how dewy my face looks.

Best Sunscreen for Melasma
This is the best sunscreen to avoid melasma spots getting any darker or larger. This is my number one choice for sunscreen and I use it everyday. I like this clear version and also the tinted version. This doesn’t give me a white cast and a little goes a long way. Sometimes a few minutes after I apply it I’ll pat on some translucent powder because I feel like I look too “dewy”. I highly recommend this product.

After years of constantly hearing this recommended by derms, I took the plunge and paid extra for it. So far, so good. This summer I have been wearing it anytime I have gone for a long walk and I haven't seen any freckles or anything. I also don't get any breakouts. Because of the pandemic, I have not gone swimming or to a beach or anything so I haven't given it the marathon test, but I am comfortable buying this sunscreen for summer days. It might be heavy for winter- I have yet to see!

I was originally introduced to EltaMD Sunscreen when I received a sample from LovelySkin. I really liked the way it went on the skin and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy like others I’ve tried. I am a mature woman and my skin is starting to get dry and I thought this wouldn’t be right for me. However I find that it’s perfect. I still on occasion get oily around my nose when the weather is hot and humid. Many times I forgo using moisturizer on those days and use it alone.
