Little too thick for me

This is a little too thick for me. Maybe, I am using too much? It takes a bit to rub in and sometimes when I go to apply something else as I am rubbing I get little product balls. I don't know if the day cream is reacting to the other cream or maybe I am not waiting long enough. Any advice? I do like the night cream. It is light goes on nicely.
