Tacky feeling

It’s very stinky/tacky. I only put it on at night, and I have even tried putting on a light layer but this location always feels sticky/tacky until the next morning. This is my first glycolic acid lotion, so I would love to know if that’s normal? It’s too soon to tell if it is works, but I think my legs feels softer.
