Works well, but not soft AT ALL

I really wanted to love this brush, but unfortunately, it's just not soft at all. It does apply the product well (I use Jane Iredale mineral powder foundation), but it feels slightly scratchy against my face so it's not a pleasure to use. For the price (almost $40- a lot for a makeup brush), this brush should feel luxurious in addition to being functional. It also sheds a lot, but hopefully that will stop when it's no longer new. I'm still using it because it does work well and I needed a new brush, but it's not at all what I was hoping for. If you want a brush that works well and you don't care how soft it is, this might be the brush for you. But if you want a brush that feels soft on your face, this probably isn't it.
