It's pretty soft fragrance that I can't smell anymore after a few minutes but if someone buried their face in my hair I'm sure my hair would smell really good. I loved the original formula. This newer version has a very distinctive smell, not light and airy. I am prone to fragrance induced migraines so this isn’t for me. Also there is such a big push to have essential oils in everything. Whatever is in this is very oily. Wish you hadn't changed the original formula which worked great. Very disappointing.

This smells so amazing! I do prefer a different lighter weight shine “serum” for my own medium to fine hair as this has an almost gel like consistency but I can use it if I only apply a single dot or two through the ends and reminder on the sides. Like the directions say, it performs better when heat styled afterward. However, it really is perfect for my daughters very thick, waist length hair and really tames it so nicely, adding so much shine. I will continue to reorder for her.
