I really like Kenra's root spray! Due to covid and not being able to go to my beauty shop for a haircut, I was forced to let my very short hair grow out. Of course I had to fight those "in between tough stages" when your are trying to grow your hair, but Kenra's root spray helped to make it manageable. I have very fine, straight gray hair and have worn it very short for years because it doesn't hold a curl well. However, the root spray helps to give my hair body and even makes my longer hair look good. I am working toward a chin length bob-style cut and really like it. I've received many compliments!

Frequently when I wear my hair back/up, I like to use this product right at the roots along the crown area. With the product applied, I highly recommend drying the hair dry taut at the roots in order for it to stay in the upward position. Gives me a "fresher" look with the hair not just laying flat on my head. This gives a medium-firm hold.

I have fine, limp, but heavy, hair and struggle to get lift at the roots where I desperately need it. I'm very careful to spray it very lightly just on the areas where I want support. If I use too much, it feels gummy and I have to shampoo again sooner. It's worth the learning curve, though, I think, and a bottle lasts a very long time in my case!

I have been using this product for over 7 years. It gives volume to fine hair. Be sure to only apply to the hair at the roots, if you apply it all over it will weigh the hair down. I use this with Kenra Professional Volume Mousse Extra 17 (on the ends) & Kenra Professional Volume Spray 25 to add volume to my fine hair. This makes it look like I have much more and thicker hair.
