This is a very thick, pasty and gritty product that you have to apply sparingly. I am not sure what makes it gritty but it feels like it contains exfoliating beads. But as you keep smoothing the product on your face, it evens out. I have only skin and I noticed that this product doesn''t keep the skin matte. So I have to dab my face in the middle of the day to get rid of excess oil. I also noticed white sheen around the corners of my nose where the white sunscreen residue shows by mid-day. I used to use myBody tinted sunscreen that acted as a primer. It seemed to reduce the oil production but the new version doesn't seem to be as effective. In short, this is a decent primer with sunscreen if your face doesn't get too oily by mid-day and you don''t mind the grainy and thick quality.
