Suds up and washes well
A little goes a long way and I like the consistency (not too runny). It duds up great and leaves my hair cleaned but not stripped. I do have color treated (highlighted) hair and I do need to use the conditioner every time since my hair feels dry after the wash.

A solid moisturizing shampoo
I need to cleanse almost daily to maintain a healthy scalp, and apply a leave in conditioner. This shampoo leaves my hair soft, requiring no post shampoo, rinse-out conditioner in the shower. It’s hard to gauge how much bond repair this does, but it’s good to be able to skip one step/one product.

Even better than advertised
I had a sample of Olaplex #4 from Lovely Skin which prompted me to try a full bottle. My hair which is healthy and still naturally blonde at 70 has never felt so spectacular. It is full, soft, luminescent, and all without any additional product. I was so astounded that I had friends run their hands through it. Who does that ?!? Let me also say that it takes practice to use the tiny amount necessary to shampoo my shoulder length hair: the amount is the size of my fingernail. The Olaplex is worth the price, but given how little it takes, it is priceless !

I received a sample of the Opalex #4 shampoo and liked it well enough to get a bottle and try it out. So far, I like it quite well for my thin, baby fine short hair. It doesn’t weigh down my hair, and it gives my hair the appearance of having thicker strands of hair. I’m not overly fond of the heavy soapy scent though.
