Best for My Natural Platinum Hair
I started turning platinum in 1992, long before it was fashionable. I was only 30 years old. I found this product at a small store/pharmacy in Chicago and used it continuously. My hair was not only platinum, but Phyto Argent brought out what used to be red highlights, into lovely shiny Platinum strands of highlights in their place. I received compliments on my hair often and consistently. In the last few years, I have not been able to find this shampoo, using what I could find and it showed. By accident, I found the shampoo on the LovelySkin website. I ordered four bottles. My husband uses Phyto Argent as well and he is equally pleased. A great product!

PHYTO yellowing shampoo
I was using Klorane yellowing and it was discontinued. Their new one gets bad reviews and the search was on for a new one. Tried a couple of others and saw PHYTO. So far so good. The first shampooing took out some of the yellow but now it is getting better and better with each use. Hopefully this is my new go to. My hair comes out in good condition also. I am pleased with this purchase.

This "No Yellow" Shampoo seems to be what I was looking for to replace a similar product that is no longer available. It doesn't make my fine hair dry so that is a plus. I chose PHYTO because I use their moisturizing shampoo and their mousse which are excellent.

This shampoo made my scalp itchy after a couple of days, but it worked well for what it is. I love the shine and affect on my hair, plus it didn''t dry it out as other shampoos of this type have. The packaging leaves a bit to be desired, as the bottle under the cap is wide-open and did not have any kind of dispenser. Since I was expecting a usual type of dispenser top, a lot ended up on the floor of the bathtub the first time I used it. Don't say you haven''t been warned. :-)

The first reviewer misunderstood what this shampoo is intended to do. It will not lighten the hair in any way whatsoever. The purpose of this shampoo is to neutralize the brassy tones that can plague those of us with natural or chemically treated grey, white, or platinum blond hair. The blue/purple dye in the shampoo counteracts the yellowing without actually lightening or changing the base color of the hair. Ive been using this shampoo once a week for years and that is enough to keep my grey hair looking like sterling. The rest of the week I use Klorane with Centuary which is also formulated for gray, white, and platinum blond hair but does not contain any blue/purple dye. There are two easily overcome problems with using a blue/purple corrective shampoo: 1. The shampoo does contain a dye and so you must use a bit of caution so that you dont inadvertently stain any surfaces. 2. If you use the shampoo too often, youll end up with blue tinged hair.
