So far I really like this. I use it on damp hair before blow drying and on second day hair before using a curling iron. I think it offers protection, it helps with frizzled ends and does not make my hair look dirty or limp. My hair is shoulder length, thin, straight, flat and highlighted. On the bottle, this is described as being for curly/coiled/relaxed hair, which is not my hair type. I happened to get this as a sample and I liked it better than all the other heat protectors I have in by cupboard, so I purchased this. The scent is just okay.

Didn’t really care for this hair serum. It left a weird scent after applying it. That alone turned me off. And, I tried to be sure it worked well as a heat protectant, but couldn’t get past the smell. I was worried other could smells it too, so I had to give this one up. Sorry Phyto Specific. Maybe next time!

This is by far the greatest heat protector I've ever used. When I had my hair professionally done by a family stylist with the phyto products, she loved it. She used the iron on my hair and styled each section in one pass! My hair wasn't crispy or warm at all! I don't like using irons, so I put this to the test with my blow dryer on med heat high air presser setting (with straightening attachment, not the comb). I was able to blow dry (med heat) my below chin length hair with a wide tooth comb in under 6 minutes bone straight! Then I was able to style my hair with a wooden bristled brush with my blow dryer this time on high heat in under 20 minutes! No need to follow up with my straightening iron at all. My hair has tons of movement, bounce, and shine. Best part is it's a cream. I only needed 2 pea-sized about to get the job done. (4c chemically straightened with phytospecific index 2)
