Finally a winner!
I have sensitive, acneic skin. I have tried the other hero vitamin c products but they were always too heavy of a layer. This vitamin c serum soaks right in to my clean skin. It doesn’t leave a film and it keeps my skin looking fresh. My clogged pores are lessened and my skin remains melasma free. I’m a very happy customer!

Very similar to the others
I have now tried all of the Skinceuticals vitamin C serums. I don’t notice much of a difference between any of them - so with that being said if I had to choose between them all I would go with this one because it’s cheaper. It absorbs nicely into the skin, doesn’t make my other skin products and makeup pill, and gets the job done. It does have a funky smell though- almost like I’m rubbing bacon into my face.

A change from CE Ferulic
I switched to this from CE Ferulic due to cost. It definitely stings while it’s working, which CE Ferulic definitely does not do. I have very sensitive skin, so I will need to keep an eye on this and make sure it doesn’t start interacting with other products. However, the product does appear to be working pretty well. It isn’t the same holy grail that CE is, but it’s worth the cost for sure. Time will tell more!

Stings and irritates skin
Was hoping to save a little bit of money and bought this instead of my usual CE Ferulic. I was expecting it to sting/tingle/burn for the first several uses/weeks but I was never able to get my skin to tolerate this product. Wish I could return but too late.

I love SkinCeuticals products -this is my first time trying this vit c product - since I regularly use a vit c serum I did not hesitate to purchase the higher L ascorbic percentage- it is very gentle to the skin leaves a soft feel after application and improves my overall tone and brightness. I will continue to purchase this c product- though a little pricey but worth it !

The version with Ferulic acid never quite worked out for me (couldn't stand the smell and seemed to oxidize too quickly). I'm so glad that I tried the AOX+ 20% for my morning C serum. Has a short lived mild sting upon application which subsides within 10 minutes. I am not a foundation user but this wears well under a tinted or untinted sunscreen.

I've used many, many C serums over the years including Skinceuticals C&E Ferulic which broke me out. I wish now that I had turned immediately to this "clean" serum. There's nothing in this that will clog or annoy fungal acne. It may take some acclimating to the strength by starting slowly and deliberately, but I had no issues and I have freakishly sensitive skin. Thumbs up! I will be repurchasing, but only from lovelyskin.
