Giving less stars only because it burns a bit when I use it

I tried Exfoliant Forte when my aesthetician  gave me a sample after a chemical peel and used it for almost two weeks. However, when I ordered the full size product, it started giving me a kind of burning or stinging sensation whenever I use it. I don't know if that is because I have sensitive skin, I just find it odd that it didn't happen with the sample. Other than that strange phenomenon that happened with the full-size of the product, I don't have any other complaints. I just don't know if I can tell that it is such a necessary part of my skin routine. I have started using it more sparingly because of that and the burning/stinging sensation.
