Very sheer tint, not waxy

This review is for the Poppy color. The tint is very sheer, more sheer than the Rose tint (reviewed separately). It add the barest hint of life to my otherwise blah lips. I was hoping for more color at this price. The soft shine and the fact that the subtle tint is bright (not milky) saves it from being a complete dud for me. I use it mostly as a lip base and line/fill with a matte lip pencil to add color and take down the shine. I like the texture--neither waxy nor silicone-y slick--just moist. It feels very soft, so I dare not carry it around on a hot day.
