My dentist recommended this toothpaste because of its low abrasiveness (62 RDA value), and the desire to whiten my teeth. It's tough to find a low abrasive toothpaste that removes that yucky film on your teeth, but this was does it! I agree with others that this is a great toothpaste on its own but noticeable whitening results are only gained by using it as a system with the Supersmile's accelerator.

I have used a full tube of this toothpaste and have only noticed a slight difference, and maybe that is all that it does. I gave it three stars because it is a nice toothpaste, but not necessarily an effective brightener.
