This makes my very fine thinning hair soft and gives it a bit of volume. Most important it is very gentle, and does not irritate my very sensitive scalp. I tried the whole climate control line (shampoo, conditoner, gel) and decided it is not for me. My hair felt stripped after shampooing and I had to work in more conditioner than expected. This conditoner is a little thinner than other 'better brands' that I have tried, so I don't think the 8.5 ounce bottle will last long. I didn't like the scent. I reminded me of old flowers dying in a vase that need to be thrown out. The scent isn't overpowering, but it lingers (maybe the lingering scent is from the gel). My hair didn't feel or look any better than usual with the climate control products.
