Recommended Post Treatment

I've used this on and off for years. Recommended by esthetician and derms post procedure. This being said there are newer versions of this product, with different feel and also from other brands. This one is thick and white but good for sensitive skin.

Helps with sensitivity

I have rosacea and very sensitive skin that is easily irritated, this cream really helps it calm down. I use the Avene Cicalfate Post-Procedure cream as my daily moisturizer. I have somewhat oily skin still even at my middle age and this cream does not leave me greasy looking, it absorbs well. It also works well with other products, I use it over the Azelaic acid gel that my derm prescribed for my rosacea and no problems. I will keep buying this as long as it keeps working good for my skin.

Excellent Product for Maskne!

I have been using this product for the past three months. I was introduced to this product as a sample. Love those samples! After trying this sample for a couple of weeks I knew that I had found my product. I did not purchase it for a post-procedure but to solve a maskne problem that I have had since the middle of last year. My maskne was so bad I could not keep it at bay. I had welts and hives on my face that would come and go but never disappeared completely. My skin is now clear. The texture of my skin has smoothed out. The color is now balanced out as well. I use this product twice a day after using my cleansing products from Lovely Skin. Now when I have my mask on, I know that when I take off at the end of the day, that my face is still good and no longer crawling. I would recommend this product.

As part of my post-procedure Micropen treatment, my derm recommended this or Neocutis Bio Cream, which I have used before. I really like the Avene better than Neocutis Bio. It feels so much better and really calms my skin. I feel like I healed much faster and is non-greasy.

This appears to be the "lighter" (less dense) version of the Cicalfate. Much prefer Restorative Skin Cream as this made no difference to the quality of my skin.

Blue Cream

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this cream is a light blue color. This is because it contains copper peptides. This product works great for post procedure (I used it after a TCA peel), but I have also continued to use it as a nighttime moisturizer.

hmm...

So for me the jury is still out on this. I happened to try this while my skin was needing gentleness. I am not sure if this was the reason I got acne or something else but I was breaking out during use of this product. This is a light gel/cream texture that easily, weightlessly blends into the skin. The product does have a slight medicinal scent unlike its original version that to me smells almost deliciously dairy like. Beyond the breakouts, I experienced light hydration but no noticeable calming of my inflamed areas. I would not repurchase based on my experience so far.

Heals skin quickly

Recently had a small red ''freckle'' cauterized near my eye. I used this to heal and it resolved fast. No swelling or irritation, no scar.
