I don't like the creamy consistency of this cleanser. I was having some skin irritation on my face and decided to switch to this cleanser. While my skin irritation is better, I am not happy with the creamy texture and lack of sudsing. I am going to find a new cleanser.

I normally use this on recovery days after a chemical peel, and I find it soothing and effective. I use about a quarter-size for the entire face and apply it onto a dry face. The creamy formula spreads evenly without the need for additional water for slip. One star off for the smell, which is a little chemical, however I got used to it after the first couple of uses.

I initially missed in the directions the need for a washcloth to remove the makeup after applying the cleanser. Without the washcloth it definitely does not remove foundation well. It is very mild and gentle and caused no irritation to my sensitive skin but I don't like having to use a washcloth. I ended up using it in the am or days I didn't wear makeup. It is great after chemical peels as others have said. It did not cause any redness other than from rubbing with a cloth and did not cause me to break out.

I use Jan Marini Age Intervention Gentle Cleanser in the morning and at night to wash my face & neck. You only need to use a small amount (dime-sized), and massage it into your skin. I follow up with a Clarisonic cleansing brush with luke warm water. This cleanser does an excellent job of removing makeup and gently cleansing without leaving your skin dry or taut. I rinse with warm water several times and wipe and blot with a washcloth. This cleanser has a mild citrus orange scent that is pleasant and refreshing. This is a really good product for sensitive skin, and it does a great job cleansing the skin. I wish I could afford to use it all over my body!
