I'm still learning how to use this highly touted powder. It seems to leave a pale and diffuse finish, which is nice under some circumstances. It lightens the appearance of my skin unless I apply it with sparse caution. Like all By Terry products I've tried, it's unique and unlike other loose powders. Its unusual qualities stem from the luminosity and alabaster finish it leaves, yet it's without shimmer, which I prefer. It also doesn't seem to soak up the moisture of my creams and foundations like sawdust, which so many powders can do. By Terry claims that its hyaluronic acid content actually hydrates the skin. I'm not sure I can confirm that because I use so much moisturizer. But, it doesn't dry my skin, which is a plus. Because very little product is required to set makeup or get an effect, less is more.
