This is the product I've been needing to clear stubborn melasma. If you are considering this but hesitate because of the reviews about the smell, don't let that deter you, it's not bad at all. In my personal experience, melasma had been life altering and made me so self conscious, there is literally no smell I wouldn't tolerate if it would improve my melasma - which was the mindset I went into when I purchased this, desperate for relief, so when I put it on for the first time I braced myself, and actually was pleasantly surprised. It's not bad at all and this system works. I've used it three weeks now and the improvement in my skin is truly remarkable already l am so excited to keep going and see the continued improvement. Start slow - leave on for 8 minutes or so at first and build your way up, two days at a time, then a rest day, and build up to more frequently - some days just use intensive and some days just booster. Rinse with cool water, I wash with prequel gleanser and have seen amazing results. Protect your skin diligently with spf (I love elta MD) and a large sun hat, keep a cool mist in your purse to cool down throughout the day or when it gets hot - I have found consistency in these little things make a huge difference when dealing with melasma.
