Cucumber scented and mild
I have combination skin: dry on the cheeks, oilier in the t-zone. This cleanser is very gentle for my combo skin. I usually double cleanse with an oil cleanser first which gets rid of my stubborn makeup. The follow up cleanser is to remove the unseen impurities that are invisible to the naked eye. The EltaMD Foaming Facial Cleanser works but could be better. I dont feel like my face is totally clean after using this cleanser. It does feel hydrated, but I usually reserve that feeling for a moisturizer. Also, the cleanser feels like it sits on top of my skin. Washing your face with this cleanser feels like you are moving the product around the surface of your face without it getting a deep down clean. A big brand name non-comedogenic cleanser has the same feel for a much cheaper price point. I havent used this in dry weather and I can see it being pleasant in drier conditions, but alas I live in humid conditions year round. Didnt work for me, but may work for you.

Great gentle cleanser
Best gentle cleanser I have ever used. When my face gets sensitive I go to this product. It never irritates my skin and cleans off makeup surprisingly well.

A Little Goes A Long Way!
This product is a good cleanser for those who like to feel the product working on their face. Only a dime size squirt or less is needed, but with heavy makeup you may need to wash and rinse twice!

Good Cleanser
I like that it does not dry out my skin and you dont need a lot of it. It also works very well with my Clarisonic, but I too have noticed that sometimes it does not remove all my foundation. Overall, though I do like the cleanser.

Not impressed
I am not impressed with this cleanser. To begin, it is fragranced. Not only do I prefer fragrance-free skincare products, but the fragrance of this cleanser is floral with a fruity note that does not blend. If I’m going to use a fragranced cleanser, I would at least like it to smell good. It also stings a bit, which is a feeling I try to avoid on my sensitive skin. However, the worst thing is that it doesn’t clean very well it leaves so much residue behind that I end up following up with another cleanser, which makes this product utterly useless.

Not my favorite
This cleanser is just ok. I like that it is gentle but it doesnt completely clean my face. I have to use another cleanser after this one to get all my makeup off. I only use a mineral powder but if I tone after using this product alone, makeup shows on the cotton ball. I will probably use this up (am only) but will not repurchase.

The BEST of the BEST!
I have tried a LOT of facial cleansers in my 36 years of life and when I stumbled upon this one, it was an immediate love connection. I use EltaMD sunscreens, which again, are the BEST of the BEST, so when I found out they have other facial products, I had to try the face wash. You can really feel how well it cleans your skin. It even removes eye makeup easily! No perfumes, which is great for sensitive skin, and any skin type for that matter. A little goes a long way as it foams up so a bottle lasts a very long time. Elta MD Facial Cleanser
I received a sample from LovelySkin so I tried it. It leaves my skin feeling clean without dryness. I feel though that I have to repeat cleansing if I want to completely remove make up and sunscreen on my face. But overall its good.

Not as good as other Elta cleanser
I have used the other Elta cleanser, and I liked it. But I wanted something to clean my pores a little more thoroughly so I ordered this one. Unfortunately, it doesnt work as well! And leaves a bit more oil. My skin isnt especially oily so this is a disappointment. Would not purchase again. It foams a great deal but doesnt cleanse -- at least for me.

This is a good morning cleanser but it isnt good at removing make up, mascara in particular. It didnt foam the way I had expected and has a rather unpleasant scent but it does leave skin soft to the touch.

good makeup remover
i have oily skin and wear powder foundation....this made my face feel very clean. it did sting my eyes a lot...i did not rub it over my eys, but getting close was enough to cause stinging and redness. this did not happen with the elta foaming cleanser, so im assuming im just allergic to an ingredient in this one. great for sensitive skin as a regualr cleanser, for my skin it was great to remove makeup as a first cleansing.

This cleanser is perfect for everyday use. It doesnt dry out my skin, and I love how it feels when it starts to foam. A little goes a long way. Its a nice moisturizing cleanser, and yet it doesnt cause my oily, sensitive skin to breakout.

I love this cleanser. The price is good. It doesnt break me out. It leaves me squeaky and clean without drying me out. It does leave a trace amount of eye makeup but even my derm tells me to use an eye makeup remover so I cant complain about that. Its been better to my skin than other other in a long time. Ill stick with it for the long haul!

Gentle cleanser effective cleanser
Chose this cleanser as recommended by dermatologist but specifically because its sulfate free. Its gentle on my acne prone/medicated skin yet effective enough to remove all of my makeup and/or dirt & oil. Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturized not tight and dry light many other cleansers. Would recommend for anyone who is using topical medications for acne as it is very gentle on skin yet it is still effective cleanser, which I have found was hard to find.
