A 100% mineral sunscreen that truly leaves no white cast, given the green tint. Doesn't leave you looking green either, but does camouflage redness pretty well. Far less drying than other mineral sunscreens I've tried. Others have affected my skin barrier b/c they're like wearing a clay mask and absorb moisture from my skin. I still use a moisturizer before applying this, but I can reapply without it, and this truly leaves my face looking like I've not spent my day next to a window. Usually when I've found a sunscreen that works for me the company discontinues it. Sure hope they keep this going.

Love this sunscreen
I have been reordering this sunscreen. I am on my second bottle. It goes on so smoothly, and is not thick or sticky. It doesn’t leave a greenish cast and doesn’t transfer onto clothing. It really does help calm the skin. It’s moisturizing as well.

Clogs my oil glands
I love the other eltaMd products but for some reason this one clogs my oil glands at my eye lashes. This product with the green tint is the only product that I was using when I got an infection in one eye’s oil gland and when I got an infection in the other eye. I stopped using this product in between.

Don’t be afraid of its green tint
I received samples of this product from an Elta MD Representative who was at my skin doctor’s office at the time of my visit. I was hesitant about the green shade of it, but she insisted I would love the way it felt on my skin. She was right, and I have switched to this product from my other Elta MD total physical sunscreen product’s for my face. I mix this with a slight bit of my favorite foundation and apply it entirely over my face and decollate . It does not slide off as the day goes on; nor feel tacky. I have ordered this twice now. That’s how much I love it. I am much more apt to reapply this during the day because it does not feel like I’m layering upon layering.

Finally a Sunscreen My Sensitive Skin Loves
I’ve tried a lot of sunscreens and most either irritate my skin or feel too heavy, but this one has been different. Before using it, my skin would get red easily and look greasy by midday. After using this consistently, my skin looks calmer and more even, and I don’t feel the need to wear foundation every day. The texture is lightweight, blends quickly, and leaves no white cast. The tint is very natural but helps reduce redness just enough to make a visible difference. I also live in a humid climate, and this doesn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts. It actually feels soothing when applied. It layers well under makeup with no pilling, which is a big plus. This is my first green-tinted sunscreen, so I didn't have preconceptions before using this. It feels very light and provides little to no coverage for me. If I use a light foundation on top works very well.

I've always used eltamd spf But had never tried the green tint until I received a sample. I don't think I'll ever go back to using anything else. It really does make a difference in the redness in my face. For some reason I also feel like it's a little bit more moisturizing and leaves a different type of sheen which I enjoy.

Perfect SPF for any skin but essential for hyper-sensitive skins: we know who we are...
I have purchased UV Skin Recovery SPF 50 (green tint) about six times. The only better SPF I've used is a (2014) discontinued SPF 30 mineral based product from another brand. If you used that SPF, you know that it was incredibly effective. Since it was discontinued I've not found a daily-use SPF that truly did not disturb my rosacea and was completely comfortable for 24 hours---until I discovered this product. For my incredibly sensitive, rosacea conditions this Elta MD SPF is truly non-irritating. I use it every day. I can use a mild moisturizer underneath if I need extra hydration. Most days (even in winter) the UV Skin Recovery SPF 50 (green) is enough. The green tint doesn't do much to tone down the pink in my face but, the green tint (which is minimal) completely eliminates any trace of white/ashy/zinc cast. It is invisible. The un-tinted formula does leave a slight cast that I do not like. My skin tone is Fitzpatrick Scale Type 1. However I cannot imagine any Type, 1-6, that could not wear this SPF invisibly. Elta MD Skin Recovery SPF 50 (green) is, for me, perfect. I will continue to purchase it.

Made Rosacea redness worse
I have rosacea redness on my cheeks and had hoped the green tint of this sunscreen would help. Not only did it not help, but it made the redness on my cheeks much worse. I stopped using it after a couple of days and threw it out. I went back to La Roche Posay sunscreen.
