I don't think this is truly matte!
I'm knocking one star because I don't really think this is truly matte if you are applying the correct amount of sunscreen - and it takes a bit for it to dry down to a semi matte finish. I do like the finish, but if MATTE is what you are going for, this isn't really it. Smells AMAZING though.

Matte formula
Liked the smooth feeling it left my skin. The only issue I saw was the fragrance. Not fond of smells on my face.

I bought this product because it was recommended by an esthetician. I wanted a SPF that wasn't too greasy for everyday use. I like the way it feels, but it still does leave a residue on the face. So far it's ok.
