Mineral based foundation
17 years ago I went to a skin consult and the woman recommended Jane Iredale products as I prefer a quick and easy routine for application of my war paint (as I call it). Over the years someone will periodically rave about a product and I might give it a try. I ALWAYS come back to the Jane Iredale mineral pressed powder. This year I was diagnosed with stress induced eczema (a lovely birthday gift). I went and saw the allergist and one of the questions he asked was about makeup. I told him what I used and he told me that his patients that used mineral based products tended to fare better, long term. Looks like I will not be trying new products in the future. The powder goes on easily, it matches my skin, it doesn't cake and it's quick. I've even been told I must be lucky not to have to wear makeup, if only!

I've been using this product a LONG time! Not only does it have some sun protection, but it also acts as a total foundation plus powder when I'm in a hurry. (Usually, I use tinted sunscreen under it, but it's not necessary).

Easy, flawless finish!
I decided to try a mineral makeup a couple of years ago. I used another popular brand for awhile and then decided to try Jane Iredale. I will say that it definitely works best using the Jane Iredale primer first. Once I started using the primer, I found the finish to be smooth and flawless without looking like makeup at all. It's quick and easy to apply and the SPF in it is a bonus.

Nice & easy foundation
This is my favorite natural look foundation. I use the Jane Iredale primer first, then some blush, and top with the pure pressed base. It’s quick and easy and serves as my sunscreen, too. A spritz of the hydration spray and I’m ready to go.

Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation
LOVE this foundation! I never thought I would like a mineral powder at my age, but this product is sooo good! I was looking for an easier to apply foundation that would provide coverage for my redness and dark spots as well as feel light weight on my skin. This foundation applies quickly and easily .. no real need to “blend”. Using the hydration spray after applying the foundation is key as this product melts the foundation into the skin. Doesn’t look like makeup and it prevents transfer issues. I’m now a JI fan!

My go-to foundation.
I use the Jan Iredale primer beforehand (Smooth Affair). It helps keep my face more matte. While this gives light coverage, the upside is my face does not look heavy with foundation. It’s natural. I also use as concealer because concealer sticks don’t blend like this does. I found a foundation brush of another brand that is more dense. I have bought this foundation multiple times.
