I’ve used the old formula before this version and I agree with others that this new version feels very grainy and not quite matted like advertised. It, actually, leaves my skin looking glowy. It is one of my favorite due to the fact that it doesn’t stink or burn my eyes which is a big plus for me since I reapply couple of times a day. Overall, it is a great product if you don’t mind the grainy feeling when using, hence the 4 stars.

This sunscreen does not irritates my skin or enlarge my pores. it is not matte but it not greasy and works well under powder. The sunscreen goes on white but dries totally clear on my tan complexion. You should also know that this has a slight gritty texture when going on but rubs in just fine and is lightweight all day. This is oil free low in silicones and is great for daily wear. I would buy this again even with the gritty sensation when applying I do prefer this new version over the old since it does not enlarge my pores like the previous version did.

Good sunscreen - not a moisturizer
Reliable matte sunscreen. It goes on chalky but within 30 minutes it has blended into the skin. It doesn't moisturize which is a downside, so it can still leave your skin feeling dry. In the past, I would blend Obagi sunscreen with a dollop of moisturizer and then apply. Now I just prefer to use this as an added protection with my SPF moisturizer on days that I know I'm going to be outdoors for more than just a couple of hours.

Obagi has always been my warm blanket of products that I feel comfortable trying for the first time without problems. I am easing into a review. I waited until the Atlanta heat and humidity awakened from winter to try the product. I use the Susan Obagi Daily Intense Daily Repair which I recommend as a less complicated treatment for exfoliation. In the cold and dry climate I have applied the Revision SPF (moisturizer after my morning IDR. I knew that come the humidity I would need to switch from a moisturizing SPF to a product more suited for warm and humid climates. The season is starting in Atlanta but after a few days I am quite pleased.

Obagi Sun Shield Matte Suncreen
I have been using the Obagi line for close to two months and have noticed definite changes to my skin. I use the Matte sunscreen for my body and the Tinted sunscreen for my face. These both provide excellent sunscreen protection, but leave a slightly tacky feeling on my skin. If you don't mind a sunscreen that feels as though it hasn't quite all been absorbed this is a good product. Positively, it hasn't left any residue on my clothes and does not impart shine. I will continue to use this product as part of the Obagi system.
