I had high hopes for the Elixir and used it for a couple months without noticing much of a difference. I found it best to use it at night because it felt heavy when adding the product to the thinning areas of my hair along the scalp and contributed to a slightly greasy look for me. I don’t hate the product but just wasn’t as much of an improvement as I’d hoped for. I will continue experimenting with something else in the future.

Very perfumey, had a reaction, hair fell out
I like the viviscal supplement and think it has helped me in the past. Took a break from it, lost some hair (I was only on it for 3 months) and decided to re-purchase. Found a great deal here and I decided to try the Elixir as well. Awful decision lol. First, I prefer fragrance free products or at the most, a *light* fresh scent or botantical/essential oil smell, not perfumey. This is EXTREMELY STRONG smelling. No offense to anybody but it has that very pungent "old lady perfume" scent. It gave me a headache, but I do suffer from migraines. It also made my scalp red, splotchy, and very itchy and I lost more hair. The hair loss may not be tied to the one time use of this but I need no further help to lose hair so I will be returning this. Waste of shipping costs:( I would not recommend this product as there is nothing positive to report.

Seems to work
I've been giving my hair a break from the blow dryer and this product seems to make my hair feel fuller. I have no idea if it's actually doing anything for hair loss, but as a styling agent it does give volume.

This elixir made styling my hair almost impossible. It was similar to putting hairspray on wet hair in that it made my hair gummy and impossible to brush through my thin hair. I would not recommend.

Started using Viviscal program less than 3 months ago. Referred by dermatologist. Use the elixir after shampooing and conditioning with Viviscal products. Also take the supplements twice daily. Have seen hardly any "shedding" in the shower, that is remarkable. Some new growth at temple area and throughout scalp. Going to stay on the program! Patience is a virtue!

I was extremely skeptical of these products...but I can honestly say, used together the Viviscal line works well fast and my hair has never looked better. I use the Supplements, Shampoo, Conditioner and Elixir. I have no idea if I am growing hair back, but these products definitely add volume whilst leaving my hair soft full and manageable. Reasonably priced considering alternatives. Absolute keeper.

I feel my hair has gotten stronger. I see way less fallout or break off. I style my hair with a flat iron and wear it straight. I love that I can use this serum dry and it doesn't make curl or frizz up. I can also apply it wet. I think it's a great product. And it's not oily AT ALL, which makes it great for everyday use. I don't feel like my hair is weighed down after using it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I've only been using it for 1 month so I don't really know how it's working yet.

Not for my hair type
This does not appear to be friendly to my coily curls. I have used it while my hair was wet and while dry. Using it while it's wet is just OK and I say that because once my hair dries, it's no different than any other wash day; no addt'l benefits that I've witnessed. However, i've used it while dry and don't like how my hair feels afterwards. It feels like product is built up on my hair. I've seen great reviews on this product but after about 5 uses, I have concluded that this does not work for my hair type. Many mentioned how great it smells. It smells like hairspray to me.
