Made with both alpha and beta hydroxy acids, this powerful facial cleanser washes away impurities, excess oils and makeup. Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. It applies nicely to my skin at night. It is not at all abrasive, yet it is textured enough to scrub and cleanse away makeup and impurities. I have to say I do not like the new packaging. It's bulky and it weighs more, too much packaging.

I use it from time to time to gently exfoliate my skin. I don't recommend using it every day or even that often. Additionally, I mix it with my foaming cleanser for a better cleaning experience.

Skin looks and feels great!

I have used the SkinMedica exfoliating cleanser, but not faithfully. I currently keep it in the shower and use it more often and love it! I don’t need a separate cleaner and exfoliating product. It’s all in one and my face is much smoother and makeup goes on better. I do agree with others that the twist off cap makes use more difficult in the shower, especially when it drops, and it always does!!

horrible change

RETURN THE POP LID! Six year user - The new design is poor and lazy. Using the product in the shower now requires more manuvering due to a twist cap. Can't put the tub on its side as product leaks out. The worst is the cap collects product even when fully on so there is always product sitting in the bottom - just makes a mess and enormous amount of waste. Obvious designer isn't user.

The fact that I purchased this in April 2025 and it is now August 2026 and half the bottle is still full is quite telling. I so wanted to love this. It is very gentle, I don't feel that it exfoliates enough. I am a hugh fan of SkinMedica but I can't endorse this product. It just feels like a regular cleanser. I wash my face twice a day and rarely reach for this anymore. I would say if you can get this as a sample, it's worth giving a try first before committing to a full bottle.

I like this cleanser because it thoroughly cleans my skin from dirt oils and make up, without affecting the top layer of my skin. My follow-up products works better and more easily absorbs. Be cautious using this on a regular basis during the summer months. I always follow up with a sunscreen when I do. Used on a regular basis it can make your skin very susceptible to affects from the sun. I would buy this product again.
