I fell in love with the Hy Öl and booster pair from trial sizes that were in a gift set, and I just love the way it leaves my skin feeling so much it’s overtaken my other wash wash. I judge a good oil-based wash by the proper emulsification I get, and I thought the Hydrating set was worth reinvesting in after I found how to “do it” right (I let some cool water sit in the sink so I can use as little liquid as possible). But my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try the Rebalancing booster. I find it more hydrating than the oil called “hydrating,” and for my first week of washes I’ve found I get better emulsification, which is a fancy way of saying “turns milky on your skin so that you rub it in a lot.” But my skin feeling so soothed and calmed by the Rebalancing so I’m not sure what I’d get out of the Calming booster.
