Dermalogica may have changed formulas on some products, as I used their acne products in the past without any issues. After applying this serum every other night for less than a week, I broke out in little red irritation bumps similar to a contact rash. I am older and have sensitive skin so perhaps this would work fine for someone younger.

I like this pre cleanse better because it's milky and creamy and not extremely runny, so it's easier to apply to the face without wasting it. It dissolves the heavy sunscreen I use, I can't speak to its effectiveness removing makeup. It has not caused any irritation so far.
