What it is: A salicylic-acid–based cleanser aimed at clarifying pores, reducing oil, and combating acne. How it performs: Works well to reduce congestion and breakouts without the added surface exfoliation of an AHA. Salicylic acid’s lipid-soluble nature means it gets into the pore lining to break up excess sebum and keep blackheads from forming. Texture/Sensation: Classic gel or creamy gel. Gentle foam that rinses without tightness. Usually non-irritating at typical use frequencies. Best for: Oily/acne-prone skin or anyone who wants BHA pore clearing without strong surface exfoliation. Great as a regular daily cleanser or alternated with stronger acid blends.
