Since Redken discontinued Stay High 18, I've been looking for a replacement. I truly loved the gel that morphed into a mousse. I'm using the Max Sculpting Gel in conjunction with another product, a mousse to get the same sort of feel and texture. Not sure that I will purchase the Max Sculpting Gel after I use up this tube. It is less sticky and more fluid than I expected. I have short hair with a body wave.

I’d have to try it a few more times, adjusting its application and amount. I’ve got thin hair and it tends to be frizzy without styling products. After slightly drying my air with some air, I stayed it on in sections and combed thru before proceeding to blow it out. I think I like it though, but like I said I’d play around with it some more to be sure. Hopefully, it’s one I’d buy again. I do like the fact the bc it is aerosol, it applies evenly.

Spray does tame my curly hair fly always but if not applied sparingly will weight down and give hair a "greasy" effect. Shine is nice. … more
