I have used EltaMD UV Sheer Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ Face and Body Sunscreen for years. It is light and not greasy at all, but has good ingredients to protect from the sun. It has a very high zinc content,15%. My dermatologist says that zinc is the most important ingredient so this one has the highest of most, and isn't greasy at all.

I've been using EltaMD UV Sheer on my face and hands recently. I find that it does feel really sheer and isn't too greasy and shiny for my face, along with having great sun protection. After the summer, I noticed I had some blemishes/clogged pores on the side of my chin and near the top of my eyebrow and thought it might be related to the sunscreen I was using. That's when I decided to try EltaMD UV Sheer. It doesn't feel greasy on my hands or rub off. I prefer sunscreen that is not tinted. This does not leave my face with a white cast.

A very good sunscreen if you have combo skin

I have been using Elta MD's UV Shield sunscreen on my face for many years and I loved it. I felt that it was the perfect sunscreen. Unfortunately, they discontinued it and said that this sunscreen, UV Sheer, was the closest as a replacement. I liked the UV Sheer however, it made the skin on my lower face a bit dry and red so I'm going to have to find another replacement. If you have oily skin, I think you would like this a lot. It feels very lightweight, gives a semi-matte finish without looking flat and evens out the skin tone slightly.

This is my favorite sunscreen for my face and my hairline part as it is not greasy and has no white cast. However, when I travel by plane and don't check a bag, it is hard to fit in a ziploc bag with other products, as the bottle is so tall and the top corners of the bottle are sharp(cut right thru the ziploc bag). I know there is a 1.7 oz version but this is not enough for a beach trip.

Love the UV Sheer 50+

I have been using elta MD UV Clear (regular and tinted) SPF 46 for many years and love it. I decided to try this 50+ to use on my face for added sun protection here in sunny Southern California. I read other reviews that said it was too thick, thus I was a little skeptical. It is actually truly sheer; just a light lotion like the SPF 46. I use it on my face, as well as my neck and shoulders, and love it! I only wish it came in larger bottles.

Doesn’t clog pores

I’ve been using elta MD sunscreen for years. So far, it is the BEST sunscreen that doesn’t causes breakout or clog my pores, and in the affordable price range. I have oily, large pores, blackhead skin problem. I go between UV sheer and UV clear for acne prone skin. UV sheer is a bit too shine for my oily skin at first, but it less shine after about an hour, and keep skin glow. In return UV sheer is bigger tuyp. If pricing is not a problem, I would go with UV clear over UV sheer.
