Elta MD AOX tinted Sunscreen

It’s not as good as the Elta Md Elements tinted sunscreen. It doesn’t slide smoothly on the skin and my skin felt dry Please don’t discontinue the Elta MD Elements tinted sunscreen because it is the best sunscreen among the rest.

Just OK, not overwhelmed

I use only Elta MD products. I am super sensitive to most all products except these—which were originally recommended by my Dermatologist. I was excited to try this new product. I found it to be quite heavy in texture—almost like applying paste to my skin—and the tint left my skin a bit orange/yellow. I will use the product up, but won’t purchase again. I will resume using my SPF50 which I love—and when I want a hint of color I’ll apply the SPF tinted 46 over that. Much more moist on my skin. This product isn’t bad, it obviously gives the sun protection you want, but the texture is just off.

Gentle but ORANGE, not for fair tones

I have fair and very sensitive skin. I ignored the reviews and purchased this EltaMD UV Elements anyway due to the limited ingredient list. It looks like a bad orange spray fake tan on me. I even tried putting it on my fish white legs thinking I could get away with it there. Nope. Return and refund request is in process. I did give stars for non irritating. Instead- I recommend the EltaMD UV Physical Broad Spectrum SPF 41 Lightly Tinted Mineral Sunscreen instead. The elements would probably be better for dark skin tones who want a physical sunscreen but wish to avoid white cast

Very grey cast

I use Elta MD UV Clear and UV Daily (both tinted) with no issues on my skin tone. For reference I wear Ami Cole foundation in Medium 1. The UV Elements tinted product left a really bad grey cast on my skin. It looked horrible under flash photography. Because I'd have to pay shipping fees to return, I'm going to keep this and see if it works on my less tanned winter-skin. Otherwise I'll use it on my chest/back of my neck. I'm really disappointed in Elta MD's tints -- they're all completely different from product to product. Even the UV Clear and UV Daily tints are different from one another. I like UV Clear tinted the best but wish it didn't have lactic acid in it.

Great formula, terrible tint for fair skin

I have been searching and searching for just the right sunscreen for my face. I can't use any chemical sunscreens because they either irritate my skin or give me a rash. I found this sunscreen, and I loved the formula. It applied easily and dried down well without overdrying my skin, but, on my fair skin, I looked like an oompah loompa. The tint improved when I applied my foundation on top of it, but I so rarely like to put on makeup, I was hoping to be able to use this tinted sunscreen by itself most of the time. Unfortunately, I will have to keep looking for something else to use daily. I would recommend this sunscreen to people with darker skin tones, but it is definitely not for people with very fair skin.

Bad reaction

I had a bad reaction to this sunblock and broke out in small red pimples. I will stick with the Elta UV Clear, as my skin liked it

Streaky

Nice coverage with tint but becomes streaky throughout the day, turns orange, especially with sweating. Not good for a waterproof SPF. Would not buy again.

Terrible packaging -- pump still doesn't work!

I excitedly bought the sunscreen when it came out several years ago and, like many customers, had to return it because the pump stopped working after 2 uses, despite trying everything I could to get it to dispense. Wanted to give it another shot and recently bought it again. Same thing: pump stopped working after only 2 uses. This is ridiculous. Also, this has a silicone-heavy texture and turned greasy and white-ish by afternoon.

Very light

I was looking for a sunblock that worked well with my dry skin as well as working with my skin tone. This sunblock was effective in working with my dry skin but left too much of a white cast. Even after applying the recommended amount, rubbing it in, and letting it sit for a while it was still left a strong white cast. I’m using this while at home but won’t leave the house while using this.

Not moisturizing

Left my face dry and flaky. Also the dispenser did not work after a week and had to be returned for a new one but still doesn't work that great. If you have mature dry skin, this is not the SPF for you.

EltaMD SPF 44 sunscreen

I thought this moisturizing sunscreen was just too heavy feeling for my combination to oily skin. It also really emphasized the texture of my skin too. I did like the color of the tint though, just not for my skin but everyone has different skin.
