Sun Protection with a smile...
I read about this product in the Wall Street Journal, an article that I felt was fair and unbiased. There are many things I like about this product: 1) easy to apply from a dispenser so that you can control amount of product you want to use. 2) contains a slight tint which compliments my skin tone. 3) It's non-greasy and goes on smoothly 4) since I am in my 70s and admit to wrinkles, this product doesn't settle in the wrinkles, but blends into my skin. 5) most importantly, it protects my skin well from further sun damage. I have ordered this product twice and will continue to do so.

Elta MD UV Clear Tinted
I use this product in the untinted which I love. The tinted is also nice if you don't want to put makeup on for the day. It gives a slight glow to your skin after applied. It also blends in very nice with your natural skin tone.

Great for acne-prone skin
This is my go to sunscreen. I try other brands from time to time but always go back to it. It is indeed great for acne-prone skin, never caused breakouts, absorbs fine and protects really well. I have to make sure it is blended well though, especially close to the hairline. Otherwise some white residue shows up. I tried the tinted version, but it was too dark. As long as I am careful blending it well and wiping out the excess from the hairline, it does not make me look like a ghost, and I am happy with it.

Great Sunscreen
I really like this sunscreen to wear under my mineral foundation. It does the job and does not break me out. My only complaint is that it does tend to make me a tad greasy throughout the day. I am always oily no matter what, so I will continue to use this because of the fact that it does not irritate my super sensitive skin!

Love this sunscreen for my rosacea/sensitive skin. Doesn''t make me breakout. Great for everyday use. Not so great for outdoor sports like tennis, as it sweats off. But, good as an everyday sunscreen. The "color" is not tinted, but not white either. Kind of blurs the imperfections on your face, so I don't wear anything else over it.

Good Sunscreen.
I love the high content of zinc oxide in this sunscreen, however I wish if it contained physical sunscreen ingredients only. And it contains a high content of a B vitamin which is amazing. Also, it does not have a scent which is important for me.

Slightly drying, very light tint, but breakout-free!
Overall I like this sunscreen quite a bit, but it is drying even for my combination skin, so I have to use moisturizer at night on dry areas after wearing this during the day. I wish the tint were a bit more intense but it is very sheer. The best thing about this product is that I have not had a single breakout while using it, and this is my second bottle. The niacinamide content is high enough to really make a difference, and supposedly this ingredient also helps with fine lines -- at age 36, I unfortunately have both acne and nascent wrinkles, so this product addresses both problems.

Light, moisturizing sunscreen that works!
I have seborrheic dermatitis on my face and rosacea, and this sunscreen has helped clear it out. I like the fact that it is mineral based and doesn't feel too heavy so my skin can breathe, which is important given my skin condition. It feels super nice on my skin and glides right through, and I also like how it has Niacinamide. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has octinoxate which the EWG.org has labeled as a high toxicity sunscreen ingredient, although goodguide.com labels it as safe with use restrictions. I guess you can't have everything!

Great Product
I really liked this lotion, felt great & lightweight. Not shiny. However, after receiving the tinted version of the same UV Clear and trying it, decided to return the untinted for the tinted - just more practical for me as this is the only "makeup" I wear :) I was going to wear the other for working out, going to the pool but it is not water resistant.

Irritated my eyes
I loved the texture of this sunscreen and it wore well under my makeup, but I used it around my eyes and it really caused them to burn and be red. I believe it is the octinoxate. I was hoping to find an untinted physical sunscreen by Elta, but unfortunately there are only 2 Elta physical sunscreens that do not contain anything but Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide and they are both tinted. I have the tinted SPF 41 and it is OK, but seems a little too dark and turns orange on me. I still give this 4 stars because it is good, just not good for me to use on my face. I can still use it on my body.

Nice, but ...
For the past year-and-a-half, I've been using EltaMD UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41 (Tinted), but decided to try this product because: a) I thought the pump dispenser might be easier to use than the tube and b) a little more SPF never hurts. While the pump dispenser is nice, this formulation is not as creamy as the SPF 41 version. I prefer the texture of 41 — it goes on more evenly and gives me more of a foundation-like finish. I'll be going back to it for my next order.

Love this sunscreen. I hate thick, heavy sunscreens, and this one is so light, you can barely feel that it's on. Works great under makeup, and feels very clean, not oily or greasy at all. The only downside for me is that it doesn't have a lot of staying power, especially during swimming or sweaty workouts - it comes right off, so I felt I needed to reapply more often than other heavier sunscreens. For outdoor workouts, I wouldn't recommend this - but otherwise, it's amazing.

Great sunscreen, not perfect
I really love both the tinted and untainted version of this sunscreen. It dries matte and feels great on the skin. This would absolutely be a five star product if not for one minor issue: it bunches a bit under my foundation. I love this sunscreen on days when I'm not wearing foundation, but it's kind of a pain to layer under makeup. Maybe it's just the particular foundation I'm using? The two products might just not mesh well together. That being said, still a great sunscreen that I purchase over and over.

No odor
I know sunscreens are a must, but I can't stand the smell of most I've tried. This Elta sunscreen has absolutely no odor!! It is also great for acne prone skin, like I have. It does not break me out.
