Great sunscreen
This a great sunscreen from EltaMD. There's no smell at all, no little white flakes, and it's moisturizing. I have dry skin so I haven't worn it alone, but wear it over my moisturizer as it seems pretty light, thus the four stars.

Tinted sunscreen
I tried this product because it was priced 20% lower than the untinted product. I presume it blocks the sun just as well as the SPF number is the same. The tint was very subtle, so if you are thinking it can be used in place of foundation, it cannot. I prefer the clear.

Barely any white sheen
This is a brand I trust. It does leave a white sheen but it is not as noticeable as other products. I sometimes use it under my foundation and sometimes apply it on top at the end of the day before playing pickleball.

I have been using this for a couple years now and I like it. It goes on smooth and doesn’t crumble or flake off. The SPF is great and lasts all day, even after running and getting sweaty. The tint has great coverage. That being said, it is not a moisturizer so you have to use a moisturizer under it. However, I have not found a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen I like. All in all, I like it.

Dermatologist recommended years ago. It's a great, multitasking sunscreen -- calming, soothing, protective, and non drying. I try others from time to time, but always seem to come back to this one. I took off one star because it leaves my face a little shiny, which I don't care for, but settles to an elegant finish that feels really good on my skin.

I took a chance on this since it gets such positive reviews. For me, it's average performance, very light lotion-like texture, which may be a positive for some. The tint is barely there. I won't be repurchasing this one. I'm now using it on my hands and arms instead of face. I am use to another brand's Physical Protectant Tinted SPF 45 that actually blurs imperfections & feeds the skin antioxidants. It was worth a try to see what the fuss is about with EltaMD, and I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Not enough tint
This is a great product. It comes on very smooth, refreshing, and it does not smell like a sunscreen. Taking off one star as I feel that I need to use a lot of it, several pumps (and I have a small face). Also, I got a tinted version. But it does not provide enough tint or coverage for me. I used a tinted sunscreen from another brand, and I did not even have to use a foundation. Now I definitely have to put some foundation on top. I may try something else after I finish this.

A great sunscreen, my go to!
I have been using this Elta MD UV Clear as my make-up/sunscreen. I have tried a few other brands, but it seems I always come back to this one. The color is subtle and works for me, gives my skin a glow and looks like I don't have any makeup on. Would never leave the house without sunscreen and love this tint Not orangey at all like lots of others...

Although this is a mineral-based sunscreen, the zinc oxide is transparent. The other active ingredients, including niacinamide, were recommended to reduce hyperpigmentation over the long-term. It is not a moisturizing sunscreen, so I recommend that others use a base of a moisturizer, if using this product.

I have finally found the sunscreen that does not irritate my eyes or skin. I use this daily not only for sun protection, but I like the consistency of this product...goes on well with even coverage (no line) and also gives a nice natural glow to my skin. I use the tinted for just a hint of color on my face and neck.

I absolutely love the color and feel of the sunscreen but I have combination skin and it just leaves me to oily. I would definitely recommend this for those with dry skin but I will continue to use the oil free version for myself.
