Have been using EltaMD SPF 30 for years. Recently moved to a warmer and more humid climate and switched to the SPF 45 because it is oil free. Really makes a difference in reducing shine in hot, humid weather. Highly recommend.

Wonderful sunscreen
My dermatologist recommended this brand so I went ahead and gave it a try. Actually ordered this one and the UV clear SPF 46 but wound up using this one for my kids the and UV clear for myself since it has the added benefit of niacinamide. Honestly dont think you can go wrong with either. I use this on my kids faces everyday and it is non irritating and absorbs easily. No complaints from them either.

This product is 9% zinc oxide but it is micronized so it doesnt leave a white look to your skin. I wondered how this would work on my very dry skin. I use moisturizer at night then in the morning, I use this for body sunscreen and love it. It doesnt dry my skin out and is so quick to absorb and disappear. I havent tried it on my face because I use the eltamd for faces.

Having already used the UV Clear, I thought I would try this UV Shield because you get more for your money and they looked relatively similar. I think they are pretty much the same except for the niacinnamide. The UV clear also leaves a shiny glow to the face which I wasnt particularly fond of and I love this UV shield and the way it just soaks right into your skin without any after feel. If you like the UV Clear, I would suggest trying the Shield if you want one that you really cant feel on your face. I love this one!

I already was happy with other products in this line, so I gave this a try. It absorbs quickly and does not leave a white cast on my light skin, nor does it have a shiny look or greasy feel. This may be due to not having entirely mineral based active ingredients. The since oxide provides UVA/UVB protection. I have used it when I need to quickly apply a sunblock to my face. I am very particular what I use on my face-I have used it in the late afternoon when I know I will not have extreme sun exposure. I say this because my face is very sensitive to sun exposure (hyperpigmentation). I due use the EltaMD 46 for my face and love it.
